Muriel’s Kitchen

Where chic meets, well… afternoon tea heaven! Yep, you guessed it, swings for chairs, afternoon tea served on what looks like mini picnic tables and a hanging canopy from the ceiling.

It’s got to be Muriel’s Kitchen.

Tucked, not so discretely away, on Old Compton Street in Soho, this cute little restaurant is the perfect place for a stop in Soho after a busy day shopping, with Oxford Street being a 10 minute (at max) walk away.

Some impressive decor, nothing too out there, but definitely worth a snap or two…or three, or four.

With a set menu for afternoon tea (have a look here), all for just £16.75.

The food was simple but delicious, and the crumpets were definitely very authentically English in their great taste.

5 Stars for this place, worth the trip me and blogger Jess took to central London.
